Melon helps to lower blood pressure

Twinlab Cellmins - Potassium & Magnesium, 180 capsPeople that suffer from high blood pressure would do well to eat fruits and vegetables which are rich in potassium.

This is said by food experts at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Especially melons, such as a cantaloupe or a watermelon contain lots of potassium. A quarter of a melon contains 800 to 900 milligrams of potassium. That is about 20 percent of the recommended daily dosage.

Other fruits and vegetables that are rich in potassium are dried apricots, avocados, figs, kiwis, oranges, raisins, dates, beans, potatoes, tomatoes and grapefruits.
