Curcuma is good for weight loss

Researchers at Tuft University in Boston have discovered that curcuma reduces the growth of fat cells.

curcuma is a herb that is also know as kunjit, turmeric or Indian yellowroot. According to the researchers curcuma is good for losing weight.

For the research a group of mice were split in two. One group received fatty food during twelve weeks and the other group received the same food, but with 500 milligrams of curcuma added to each portion. After twelve weeks the mice who had eaten the curcuma with their food weight less than the other ones. They had formed less new blood vessels which caused less fat cells to be formed. They also had a lower cholesterol level.
