Bad boss bad for your heart

A bad manager can probably deliver you more than just bad working days. It can give you heart problems. This is the conclusion of researchers at the University of Stockholm.

The researchers gave 3122 male Swedish employees in the ages of 19 to 70 a questionnaire about their manager. Based on that, they calculated a so-called leadership score, a measure of the functioning of the manager.

The result showed that the higher the score of the manager, the lower the chance of having heart problems in the next 9 years. And the longer someone worked for the same boss, the stronger the effect.
