Regular exercise reduces colon cancer risk

By exercising regularly you can reduce your chance of getting colon cancer by almost a quarter. This is the result of a study that is published in the British Journal of Cancer.

Researchers of the Washington University School of Medicine have used data from 52 previous studies to calculate this result.

They concluded that the most active people have a 24 percent lower chance of developing colon cancer compared to the least active people.

According to the scientists about half of all cancer cases can be prevented by living a healthy lifestyle. They hope that they can encourage people to live a healthier life and reducing their risk of getting colon cancer.
