School children should exercise at least an hour every day

School children should exercise an hour every day. If they do, they are a lot more fit and their physical endurance is also increased. Also their motor functions are improved dramatically.

This is the result of a German study at the University of Leipzig. The researchers followed 333 children from 11 different groups. Five groups received 2 hours of exercise per week. The other six groups received one hour of exercise each day for a whole school year.

All children were examined at the beginning and the end of the school year. The students who exercised more hours were more fit than those who only exercised 2 hours per week.

    From what I’ve heard, there’s been an obesity crisis with American children for years now. Couldn’t agree more that they all need more exercise.
