Sugar effects memory

Peaks in blood sugar levels can effect short term memory according to a research published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition. When scientists conducted memory tests on adults who had just consumed a sugar rich beverage, it was concluded that those with the highest blood sugar levels had the worst memory. As there is more glucose in the brain, the brain cells that process and store information are fed less.
