A study of more than a 1000 men and women by the University Hospital of Tainan in Taiwan showed that those who habitually drank tea for more than 10 years had a higher bone density than those who didn’t. The benefit has nothing to do with calcium in milk, because all the test subjects drank their tea black. Researchers believe that the positive effects might be from the fluoride and the flavanoids in tea.
