Researchers at the Glasgow Caledonian University have found that people who chewed sugarless gum for 15 minutes after eating desired sweets less that those who didn’t take any chewing gum. Researcher Marion Hetherington says that this is due to your taste buds being exposed to sweetness in turn reducing hunger. But chew over 20 minutes and the sorbitol in the gum could cause flatulence!
