Four cups of tea a day can help you get more relaxed.
This is shown by a recent study of the University College of London. In this study men drank either four cups of black tea daily or a caffeine drink. After six weeks, tea drinkers were found to have 20% lower levels of stress hormones than the others. “Antioxidants in tea act on areas of your brain that calm your central nervous system”, says lead researcher Andrew Steptoe. However, more than four cups a day and the excess caffeine could offset the relaxing effect.
