Researchers at the National Cancer Institute in Maryland, United States, have found that ex-smokers can increase their life expectancy with vitamin E-rich fruit.
In an analysis of survival rates, those with diets high in vitamin E-rich fruit had a 19% lower risk of heart disease and where 21% less likely to be effected by cancer. “Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, while it also boosts immune system function and prevents tumor growth.” says Dr. Margaret Wright, head of the study.
